We have been so busy, I haven't had any time to update the blog. I have lots to write about - including our fun day at the farm, a day at the zoo, playdates and more.... I'll try and get to that soon!

Fun Thursday!

We had so much fun last night! It was such a beautiful night; first we went to Subway to eat, then spent some time at our favorite park (Gav calls it the castle park!) After that we brought Gavin to his first big screen movie!!!! We just went to the little theater in Spicer - and we were the only ones there! Gavin was so excited. We saw Monsters Vs. Aliens. I was a little afraid that it would be too loud, or too scary for him; but he sat entranced throughout the entire movie - then when it was over he kept saying "lets do it again, lets do it again!!!" He keeps talking about the "big movie" today and how he really liked the "green guy!" First thing he wanted this morning, was to go back to the movie!!!

Easter Egg Hunt!

I've kind of been procrastinating writing about Easter - because I was very sad that I missed most of it. It happened to be my weekend AND my holiday to work, so I spent the entire time at the hospital. I tried to make it home in time for the Easter egg hunt at our church, but got home a little too late, so we didn't make it to that either. I actually even cried about it. It's getting harder and harder to miss things as Gavin gets older - he looks at me and says "you come too mommy?" sorry buddy - gotta go to sleep - it sucks. But, Bryan was super dad and brought Gavin to see everyone else for the holiday. Saturday they spent with my family - and Gavin was so excited to see Owen - everyday he tells me he is going to Owen's house today! Nana and Papa gave him a super cool Police car cosey coope - he's been riding it all the time! Sunday, Gavin had a blast at Nick and Angi's - especially the Easter Egg hunt - he brought home lots of eggs full of goodies - he was talking about how much fun he had with Lauren and Ellie! Sunday afternoon we just hung out at home. Gavin found his Easter basket pretty quickly and was SO excited that the bunny brought him a Phineas and Ferb towel - which is what he has been asking for forever! They had a really nice weekend with family, and I'm still sad that I wasn't there.

Gavin says the funniest things every day, so I thought I would share a few to brighten your day!

* when I got home from Mexico, it was the middle of the night, when G woke up that next morning, he had his eyes closed and says "hey daddy.... (then opened his eyes and saw me there) HEY! you not daddy.... you MOMMY!!!!"

Welcome Home!

This sign was hanging on the door greeting us when we got home last night! Before I left, Gavin was helping me pack - then he goes "I go get my suitcase, Gavin go to Mexico too!" When I called Gavin from Mexico he told me "Mommy, don't go to the beach!" But was pretty excited when I showed him the shells I brought him this morning. I've gotten lots of hugs and kisses today from my sweet little boy.... I think he missed me! He told me he had lots of fun with daddy when I was gone - I'm pretty lucky to have these boys in my life - thanks for letting me go and just relax for a few days!

We took a boat to "Lovers Beach" and "Divorce Beach" It was so much fun to watch the huge waves of the Pacific Ocean! We saw some very cool fish on the ride over and also saw quite a few sea lions! We were so excited to get the chance to watch a whale jump over and over again!

We Loved sitting on the couches on the beach at night after eating sushi - and drinking really good wine!

We're Back!

Krista and I got back from our trip to Cabo San Lucas late last night. It was a long day of traveling, and a relief to get home and see Gavin - but boy was it hard to leave the sunshine, the beach and the ocean! We had soooo much fun! Our plan was not to make any plans - and we succeeded! We spent almost all of our time on the beach in the sun! We were usually the first ones out there and the last to leave. It was so fun having coffee on the beach every morning! We ate a lot of sushi and really good seafood. It was nice to have so much time with Krista too - we missed you Laurie... don't worry we celebrated your birthday too! It was like there was always a reminder that Laur wasn't there with us - the empty seat next to us on the way down, the lone lounge chair that no one sat in.... we really wished you could have come too!!!!

We seemed to have really good luck on this trip. When we arrived at the airport on Saturday morning, we found out that our connecting flight to Denver had been cancelled due to snow! But luckily Frontier switched us to a direct flight on NWA - so we arrived in Mexico more than two hours earlier than planned! Yesterday though - it was VERY windy flying into Denver, so it was quite bumpy... we actually had to circle for about a half hour before they would clear us to land because of the wind.

It was a wonderful, very much needed trip to relax! Thanks for all the fun Krissy!!!!
