To Infinity.... and Beyond!

Gavin is obsessed with his halloween costume! He insists on wearing it around the house and outside to play. Our neighbor came over last night to bring us some veggies from her garden (so yummy!) and of course, Gavin had his Buzz outfit on - it didn't even phase her - she thought it was great! He aslo wanted us to refer to him as "Buzz" last night during supper - then when he took off the outfit, he told me, "ok mom - now I'm Gavin, you can call me Gavin now!" I think it may just be the best $11 I've ever spent!

I miss my little buddy....(& bryan too!)

We found out on Monday that Bryan had to be gone the entire week for work! Ugh! Setting up "night-care" for a toddler at the last minute isn't much fun. Thankfully, Angi and my parents were able to help us out once again. I'm not sure how I can ever re-pay them for all they do for us. My schedule sucks - for lack of better words. So, now my house is quiet and lonely and I just would like it if my boys were here! I kind of like those two.... One more night of work, one more half a day of sleep and then I'll get to have a blast this weekend with Gavin, Lauren, Ellie and Bry - along with anyone else that would like to join us on Sunday for "meemo" cake - Gavin picked it out at the bakery all himself, and is pretty excited about it!

Happy Birthday Nana!

Happy Birthday mom/nana! Hope that you have a wonderful day! Today is a good day to say THANK YOU for everything you do fo us - we really appreciate it! Love you!

our week at the lake...

Gavin and I were lucky enough to be able to stay at the cabin until Thursday last week. It was such a nice, relaxing week. We spent a lot of time jumping off the dock, throwing rocks in the water, and catching up on our sunshine absorption! We also fished, roasted marshmallows and made smores. There was also some time spent swinging from a yard game, laying on a cardboard box and pretending we were jungle animals - sounds like a perfect week to me!

A fUn BiRtHdAy PaRtY!!!!

Wow - I'm behind in my postings! I had to work all this last weekend, and we spent the entire week last week at the lake, so I'm using today to try and catch up on everything - its amazing how your house can fall apart when you don't stay on top of things! Anyway.... Saturday the 8th, we celebrated my two favorite little boys' birthdays! Owen turned 2 August 2nd (his Golden bday!!!) and my Gavin turns 3 on Sunday! We had a joined party at the cabin - and had so much fun! Gavin was so spoiled, and got all sorts of fun new things to play with and wear! Present opening was a little frustrating in that everyone wanted to "help" Gavin open his gifts, but this year, Gavin was old enough to want to do it himself - he did spend some time yelling at his friends to "stop helping!" and "I do it all myself!!!" But in the end, the gifts all got opened - be it in a chaotic mess - but either way, it all worked out and I think everyone was happy. We spent the rest of the day playing in the water, tubing, and relaxing. Gavin keeps asking if he can have another birthday party - he had such a good time. Thank you to everyone that helped to make Gavin and Owen's day so special - they are two pretty lucky little boys!

Our Duluth Vacation

Last weekend, Bryan, Brandon, Sara and I drove to Duluth to spend the weekend together! It was so nice to have Sara as our private tour guide - I know things would not have gone nearly as smooth if Bryan and I had to navigate around that city alone! It was really beautiful, I can see why Sara loved living there. It was, however, a little too cold for me! I can't imagine driving those roads in the winter time. coming home on Sunday, there was almost a 30 degree difference in temperature between Duluth and Willmar! We visited Gooseberry Falls, Split Rock Lighthouse, and the Glensheen Mansion. It was really nice to have a weekend away and to spend some time with Bryan. Gavin had a blast all weekend as well! Krista picked him up on Saturday morning and took him to the zoo with her and Shane and Hannah and Laurie and Eric and Owen. Then he got to go to Laurie and Erics house and help celebrate Owen's golden birthday!

another Tuesday night date....

I'm kind of starting to like mine and Gav's Tuesday night dates. Last night we went to Pizza Hut and had cheese pizza - yum - then went to see G-Force at the "big movie theatre!" I wasn't sure how he would do with the 3-D movie, but he loved it! He even left his glasses on through all of the previews and most of the movie. It was the first time I had seen an entire movie in 3-D - it was actually really cool. I have lots of pictures to post from our trip to Duluth last weekend - we had a great time! I'll try and do that sometime today - I have LOTS to do to get ready for Gavin and Owen's b-day party this weekend!
on a side note: gav and I are doing puzzles this morning (which is his latest obsession - he wants to put puzzles together all the time!) but he just asked me if I would go and get his OJ for him - I told him he could reach it - and his reply with a sigh was "no mom, I'm just too busy right now!"
